About FaceRatios.com

Free AI-powered facial proportions analysis

What is FaceRatios.com?

FaceRatios.com is a free online tool that analyzes your facial proportions using artificial intelligence. It measures 13+ scientific ratios commonly used in aesthetic research, maxillofacial anthropometry, and craniofacial studies — including FWHR, ESR, EME Angle, Canthal Tilt, Facial Thirds, and Facial Fifths.

Simply upload a front-facing photo and the tool automatically detects 478 facial landmarks using MediaPipe Face Mesh technology. If any landmarks are placed incorrectly, you can drag them to the right position — all ratios recalculate in real time.

How does it work?

The entire analysis runs locally in your web browser using TensorFlow.js. This means your photos are never uploaded to any server — they stay on your device the entire time. No data is collected, stored, or shared. Your privacy is fully protected.

I built FaceRatios.com because I was fascinated by the science behind facial proportions and wanted to create an accessible, privacy-first tool that anyone can use for free. The measurements are based on peer-reviewed research in aesthetic surgery and anthropometry.

Important disclaimer

This tool is designed for educational and entertainment purposes. Facial ratios are statistical averages derived from research — they are not definitive measures of attractiveness or beauty. Every face is unique, and "ideal" proportions vary across cultures, genders, and individual preferences.

FaceRatios.com is not a medical tool and should not be used for medical diagnosis or treatment decisions. If you have concerns about your facial structure, please consult a qualified medical professional.

The science behind the measurements

The ratios measured by this tool come from published studies in fields including aesthetic surgery, orthodontics, forensic anthropology, and psychology of attractiveness. Key references include the golden ratio (phi = 1.618), neoclassical facial canons (facial thirds and fifths), and modern anthropometric studies on facial width-to-height ratio (FWHR) and its correlations.

For a detailed explanation of each measurement, visit the main analysis page and scroll to the ratio definitions section.
